Binkley Show in West Vancouver Waterfront Garden
I will be showing my sculptures in a different location during this year’s Art in the Garden Tour. As the new Low Level Road and Richardson International grain terminal expansion projects are in full swing in our back yard, we did not feel comfortable hosting you all at our sculpture garden. The noise, dust and ugliness do not make for a welcoming environment. But the North Vancouver Community Arts Council has graciously offered to let me exhibit a new collection of sculptures in the garden of a lovely West Vancouver waterfront mansion. The garden was designed by Rudi Pinkowski, and …
Uncovered – an Exhibition on the Nude
I will be participating in a group exhibition called Uncovered which will be held at the CityScape Art Space Gallery. The gallery is operated by the North Vancouver Community Arts Council is open Mondays to Saturdays from 10am to 5pm. I’m excited about this exhibition, as it tackles the subject matter of the human nude, a subject that is widely ignored in the Vancouver, Canada art scene. I find this ironic, as this city is the birthplace of Lululemon, the tight-fitting and very popular sport clothing company. Vancouverites love to wear these revealing clothes, yet are very reticent to enjoy …

This wonderful exhibition educates children about the viewer experience in a gallery and introduces them to collecting art and to wanting to …
Seven Seas Navigator Hosted a First
The Regent Seven Seas Navigator has been in the Seaspan Dry Dock here in North Vancouver for the past few weeks getting an overhaul. Michelle and I reminisced about our adventure aboard this vessel ten years ago. I am the first artist in history to have had a solo exhibition of stone sculpture aboard a cruise ship, and we did this the last week of August, 2002. The exhibition ran from Aug – Sept. 2002, when the Seven Seas Navigator sailed her last run of that season from Vancouver, BC to Seward, AK and back. Back then, she sailed …
Is Social Networking Effective?
Here is an example of how it is. I posted a blog on the Seymour Art Gallery’s annual “Start with Art” exhibition a few weeks ago, and I posted a link to it on my Facebook page. A woman whom I graduated from high school with, Kelli is one of my Friends. She has a young family of her own and now lives in Langley, BC. Her son is quite talented artistically and she and her husband are encouraging that talent – something that pleases me, as I remember my own family’s encouragement of me. Kelli saw my post and …
